CABINET WAR ROOMS
Acting as the "nerve centre of Britain's war effort", the Cabinet War Rooms (a former government storage basement) served as the headquarters for Winston Churchill during World War Two. In addition, it offered underground emergency accommodation to protect the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, his War Cabinet and the Chiefs of Staff against bombing raids.
Visitors can step back in time and see twenty one rooms which have been kept virtually untouched since the1940s.
